Inviting the World into Your Classroom: Enhance Student Learning Through Interactive Video Conferencing Activities

ReTHINK! Utilizing interactive video conferencing as an educational tool for delivering instruction or enriching curriculum expands student access to content, increases depth and relevance of learning experiences, provides opportunities for actively engaging students, and accommodates a variety of learning styles in the classroom. Learn how this technology, when implemented as an instructional strategy in a learner-centered environment, can positively impact teaching and learning in your classroom or school. Examples, best practices, and content resources will be discussed.

In this session, attendees will learn:

• Video conferencing resources for educators.

• Effective collaborative videoconference project planning and implementation.

• To navigate and use Collaborations Around the Planet to network and find partners for collaborative projects.

• Consider reasons for kid-to-kid connections.

• Free video conferencing programs available for K-12

Join this session as two K-12 educators share how they have implemented interactive videoconferencing in their curriculum successfully – live connection.

*Please note this is a Pre-Conference Workshop. Registration and additional cost required.
