The landscape of our classrooms is changing. Distance learning, flipped, blended and online learning create alternate spaces in which students interact. How can we create spaces to balance social, cognitive and teacher presence? How do we collect data and evaluate? This session offers instruction design considerations and templates which leverage technology tools as well as methods to collect and assess data for course evaluation through the lens of a community of inquiry framework. This session will summarize K12 research, provide a blueprint for instructors and designers to map course objectives to constructed activities in blended and online spaces, as well as to suggest several self-evaluation tools and rubrics for over course evaluation and re-design. Participants will collaborate and map technology tools to an exemplar rubric through a shared google doc.
